The Times Union Center is Upstate New York's premier sports and entertainment facility. Home to the Siena College Men's Basketball team, the arena also hosts many of today's top concerts, family shows and high school/college athletic events.
Students participating in our internship program will receive hands-on learning experiences in the operations of a sports and entertainment facility.

We are in need of a self-motivated HR Intern to support our busy HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assist with the hiring process, schedule new employee orientations and trainings, enter a high volume of employment records into our HR database.
Responsibilies and duties:
Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions
Perform administrative work, including scheduling, maintaining files and sorting mail for the HR department
Assist HR supervisors with the hiring process, including submitting job postings online and scheduling candidate interviews
Enter employment data into computer database
Must receive college credits for this unpaid internship
Must be detail-oriented and organized
Have solid understanding of MS Office
Able to work 3 days per week (your choice Tuesday-Friday)

The Marketing department at the Times Union Center offers both full and part-time, unpaid internships. Academic credit must be received. Interns assist the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager, along with office staff on day-to-day activities in addition to event day operations. The following is a list of duties that the intern will be expected to perform, however the job is not limited to the duties on the list. Responsibilities are subject to change based on the season's event schedule.
Design print ads, posters, postcards, flyers, brochures, marquees, etc.
Write 1,000 word editorials for quarterly supplements
Coordinate donation requests
Distribute marketing materials
Assist with the coordination of press conferences and other media events
Assist in the distribution of media credentials and escorting media at various events
Update local area online calendars
Assist with Times Union Center & Albany Capital Center social media; including but not limited to research, content creation, page maintenance, event day pictures & live posting
General office work - including but not limited to maintaining databases
To be successful in this position you must be available to intern a minimum of 12 hours per week. This position requires strong Photoshop and writing skills.

Handle Accounts Payable.
Process Box Office work.
Assist accounting department as needed.
Process all invoices.
Maintain an open payable listing, prepare payment, review report and produce checks for payment.
Move invoices to appropriate files.
Reconcile daily box office work and various monthly accounts.
Handle all payables for the Times Union Center Garage.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Assist with financial statements and special projects.
All other duties as assigned.
