We are currently accepting application for the following PT positions:

Changeover Laborers: Performs physical labor associated with the set up and break down of events.  For example – laying basketball floor and making ice. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Should be able to work alongside new and current employees.

Security Guards:  Maintain the safety of the building and provide excellent customer service and assistance to patrons attending events.  NYS Security License is preferred. Position has flexible hours that include nights and weekends.

Parking Attendants:  Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times. Count and verify bank and number of tickets assigned. Direct traffic to prescribed parking spots. Position has flexible hours that include nights and weekends.

We are also accepting applications/resumes for the following FT positions:

Assistant Operations Manager:  Takes guidance from Operations Manager and delegates to staff in regard to all back of house and event needs.  Work with Changeover Foremen and PT Operational staff to ensure all Back of House Areas are in order.  Maintain and inventory building assets. Determine and oversee new and existing building maintenance needs.
Prior supervisory experience recommended.  Must have prior facility maintenance experience.  Must also have full knowledge of all safety procedures and OSHA regulations and the ability to convey this information.  The ideal candidate will be able to handle a heavy workload in an hectic environment

Event Services Manager:  Advance show with promoter and Director of Operations. Ascertain that lessee requirements for physical set-up, security, ticketing, pyrotechnics, etc. are communicated and met. Be available on event nights as event demands. Act as “point-person” for outside promoters, while adhering to appropriate internal policies and procedures. Schedule EMS and Albany Police for all events.  Assure all of the proper Security Staff Licenses are current.
Degree in Business, Public Facility Management, or related fields preferred.  2-3 years experience in event management, public relations, promotions or related experience preferred.  Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary. 

Security Guard: Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times. Keep safe from harm all patrons and fellow employees. Assist any employee or patron that has sustained an injury. Maintain the rules and regulations of the building. Monitor building systems such as the fire alarms, HVAC, lighting, escalators and elevators and report problems. Monitor and patrol walkway from Times Union Center to Empire State Plaza. Make building rounds to ascertain the safety and security of the building.
Good communication skills.  Employee must be at least 18 years old.  Candidates must have a New York State Security License. HS Diploma/GED required. Hours are Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
